Salomon Inks 5-Year Global Partnership with IRONMAN
The French brand secures naming rights for Kona 2027 and technical exclusivity in performance footwear and apparel.
Salomon has formalized a five-year global partnership with IRONMAN running from 2027 through 2031. The French brand will hold technical exclusivity across footwear, apparel, and packs, along with title naming rights for the Kona World Championship.
Traditionally recognized in the trail running and mountain sports community, French brand Salomon has announced a major move into triathlon and road racing through a five-year global partnership with IRONMAN, running from 2027 to 2031.
Kona Naming Rights and Technical Exclusivity
Under the new agreement, Salomon becomes a Global Premier Partner of the worldwide circuit. The brand will hold technical exclusivity across performance footwear, apparel, and technical packs, in addition to securing naming rights for the premier event on the calendar, which in 2027 will officially be designated the Salomon IRONMAN World Championship Kona in Hawaii.
The agreement also entails an official presence at select events across the United States and Europe, alongside direct brand integration on the run course of long-distance races. As part of product development, Salomon team triathletes will provide targeted feedback on marathon performance demands following hours of swimming and cycling, guiding the engineering of specialized gear for training and race day.
Debut Ahead of the Official Cycle
Although the five-year contract formally begins in 2027, Salomon's presence on the circuit kicks off immediately with brand activations at the Kona World Championship this October. The move reflects the expansion strategy of the Amer Sports-owned brand beyond the trails, aiming to challenge established competitors in road racing and endurance events.
