Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026
Effective date: 20 May 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how CR8D Technologies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17030180, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ ("CR8D", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to the cr8d.co website (the "Site").

This Site does not require user registration. You can browse all content without providing your name, email address, date of birth, or any other directly identifying personal information. The data we collect is therefore limited to information that browsers and networks automatically transmit during normal web use, together with information collected via cookies and similar technologies.

For details about specific cookies set by us and by third-party services on this Site, see our Cookie Policy.

2. Who the data controller is

CR8D is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with your visit to the Site. For data protection enquiries, contact us at legal@cr8d.co.

3. What information we collect

Because the Site does not require accounts, we collect only the following categories of information:

3.1 Information transmitted automatically by your browser

  • IP address (typically truncated for analytics purposes)
  • Browser type, version, language, and operating system
  • Device type and screen size
  • Referring URL (the page you came from, if any)
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Pages you visit and content you interact with

This information is collected from server logs and from analytics services described below.

3.2 Information collected via cookies and similar technologies

First-party cookies set directly by cr8d.co (for functional purposes such as remembering your language preference and your cookie consent choice) and third-party cookies set by service providers we integrate with (for analytics, advertising, and operational purposes). The Cookie Policy enumerates each cookie, its purpose, duration, and the third party that sets it.

3.3 Information you voluntarily submit

We do not currently collect form submissions, account registration data, or other information you would actively type into the Site. If we add features that change this (such as a newsletter or contact form), we will update this Policy before doing so.

3.4 Aggregated and anonymised information

We may derive aggregated statistics about Site usage (for example, "the home page received X visits last month"). Such aggregated data does not identify any individual visitor and may be retained indefinitely.

4. Content about other people

This Site publishes articles describing the work of content creators on third-party platforms (currently YouTube). The articles are generated by automated methods, including generative artificial intelligence, from public source material licensed to us by those creators under a separate partnership agreement. If you are a creator and have questions about how your name, likeness, or attributed work appears on the Site, contact us at legal@cr8d.co. We will respond promptly and where appropriate remove or amend the content. The Terms of Use describe the partner licensing relationship in more detail.

5. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for non-essential cookies and similar technologies used for analytics and advertising. You provide consent via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit and can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for the operation, security, and aggregated measurement of the Site. Specifically, this covers basic server logs, fraud detection, and aggregated statistics that do not depend on consent-gated tracking.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where we are required by law to retain certain records, for example to respond to a regulatory request.

6. How we use the information

We use information collected from your visit for the following purposes:

  • To deliver and operate the Site (rendering pages, serving images, hosting the cookie banner, etc.).
  • To remember your preferences (language, cookie choices).
  • To understand aggregate usage of the Site, identify popular content, and improve the editorial and product experience — only with your consent for non-essential analytics.
  • To serve advertising and measure its performance, where you have consented to marketing cookies. Personalised advertising is shown only where consent for advertising cookies (ad_storage in Google Consent Mode) has been granted; otherwise advertising is served in non-personalised mode based on contextual signals from the page you are viewing.
  • To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

7. Who we share information with

We share information only with the following categories of recipients, each subject to written terms governing the use of the data:

7.1 Service providers acting on our instructions

  • Google Cloud Platform (hosting and infrastructure)
  • Google Ad Manager and Google Ad Exchange (advertising)
  • Google Analytics (analytics)
  • Google Tag Manager (tag orchestration)
  • Request Metrics (performance monitoring)

7.2 Content platforms whose embeds appear within the Site

Some pages embed content from third-party platforms (currently YouTube). When such embeds load, the third party may set cookies subject to its own privacy policy. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.

7.3 Public authorities

Regulators and law enforcement where we are legally required to disclose.

7.4 Successors in a corporate transaction

A merger, acquisition, or asset sale — in which case the successor will be subject to this Policy or a superseding policy of equivalent protection.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to advertising brokers or data brokers.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers (notably Google) process data in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the European Commission and UK Government adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, and the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable.

9. Retention

We retain personal data for the period necessary for the purposes identified in this Policy:

  • Server logs: typically 30 days, longer where required for security investigation.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy for each cookie's expiry.
  • Aggregated statistics: indefinitely, in non-identifying form.
  • Records required by legal obligation: for the period mandated by the applicable law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data.
  • Data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — for processing that depends on your consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@cr8d.co. Because we do not require registration, identifying the data associated with a specific anonymous visitor is often impossible; if we cannot reasonably link a request to specific data, we will explain this in our response.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office. In the European Economic Area, your national data protection authority.

11. Regional addenda

11.1 For residents of Brazil (LGPD)

You have the rights set out in Law No. 13.709/2018 ("LGPD"), including the right to confirm the existence of processing, access your data, request correction, anonymisation, blocking or deletion, data portability, and information about public and private entities with which we share data. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@cr8d.co. The supervisory authority is the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados.

11.2 For residents of California, USA (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete personal information we hold about you (subject to legal exceptions), to correct inaccurate personal information, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not knowingly sell personal information. To opt out of "sharing" for behavioural advertising, use the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link in the footer, or refuse marketing cookies via the cookie banner.

11.3 For residents of other US states with comparable laws

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others as enacted. You have analogous rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. Exercise these through the same mechanism as California residents.

11.4 For residents of the European Economic Area outside the UK

The provisions of this Policy applying to UK residents apply equivalently to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

12. Children

The Site is not directed at children under the age of [16 / 13]. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we hold data about a child, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will indicate the updated "Last updated" date at the top of the Policy and, where significant, post a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
