Race organizers had to adjust the route to avoid overlapping with the Corrida da Folha, which took place on the same day.

Kipchoge is scheduled to arrive on a Tuesday and remain in Brazil through the following Monday. The itinerary includes two ticketed events open to the public: a major keynote lecture in an auditorium and an exclusive session for 150 to 200 guests offering photo opportunities and close interaction. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the athlete's foundation and social initiatives supporting Porto Alegre.
The two-time Olympic champion's appearance was negotiated over six months, with initial talks starting at the New York City Marathon. Organizers anticipate a massive boost to sports tourism and brand interest, with runners and enthusiasts traveling to the Rio Grande do Sul capital solely to see their idol—a phenomenon echoing Kipchoge's recent tour across China.
