How Marketing Communities Speed Up Leadership Decisions
Felix Grivot discusses peer exchange, practical benchmarking, and connecting beyond the workplace.
Speaking on Marketing - The Podcast, Felix Grivot explains how marketing communities support management and tech decisions. Grivot highlights direct peer exchange for tool validation and in-person networking.
Felix Grivot, Head of Marketing at FCamara, spoke with Bruno Gimenes on Marketing - The Podcast about the importance of professional communities for career growth and decision-making among marketing leaders.
Practical exchange and tool validation
When discussing management routines, Grivot explains that turning to qualified peer groups shortcuts the process of selecting and implementing tech solutions. He recalls a time when he had to restructure internal tools: "When I was switching the tool I mentioned, we did this reimplementation of marketing automation and CRM. Being able to have a group of people who are seeking knowledge, who are leaders in the field or aiming for leadership roles—I remember it clearly, I just raised my hand and asked: 'Hey guys, does anyone have insights on tool XYZ?' In less than a day, I was on a call with someone who made themselves completely available, shared extensive feedback, and had been through that exact moment."
In the video above, which also touches on cross-department alignment and sales strategies, Grivot details how these spaces help reduce the isolation common to management roles. According to him, technical discussions include staying up to date on new workflows and implementing AI in management, preparing professionals for the next steps in their careers.
In-person connections and ecosystem culture
Beyond daily technical discussions, Grivot emphasizes the impact of in-person meetups and happy hours organized in hubs like Florianópolis and São Paulo, strengthening peer networking. For him, this dynamic mirrors a movement long established in the tech sector.
"I think the tech world, within the developer ecosystem, understands and knows the value of community, and I think maybe we as marketers took some time to do that," Grivot points out regarding the maturation of marketing and business groups.
