High-performance sports demand total dedication, but a competitive career has a finite timeline. Fully aware of this reality at age 30, Paralympic table tennis player Jenny Parinos is already planning her next steps for when the time comes to transition, focusing on building her presence away from the tables.
Content creation, social initiatives, and speaking
Jenny's connection to visual production is nothing new. Even before diving headfirst into sports, she used to edit photos and videos on early platforms like Fotolog and FlogVip. With demanding training schedules, the hobby took a back seat, but it is now resurfacing as a cornerstone of her evolving career.
Jenny's future plans include consistently producing digital content, delivering corporate speaking engagements about her journey, and opening her own facility. She also aims to work on the technical side, coaching table tennis and helping children get into the sport.
No set retirement date
Although her post-career transition is firmly on her radar, Jenny emphasizes that she has not set a rigid age or deadline to step away from elite competition. The decision to retire will depend on how her body responds: the athlete states she will keep competing as long as she maintains peak performance and delivers significant results for Brazil.
