Jenny Parinos Beyond Sports: Routine, Rest, and Tattoos
The Paralympic table tennis star opens up about being a homebody, loving lazy days, and the stories behind her tattoos.
Away from the pressure of the table and intense training schedules, Jenny Parinos reflects on her shy, observant personality. The athlete shares her ideal days off and the meaningful stories behind each of her tattoos.
Anyone who sees Jenny Parinos locked in at the table or powering through conditioning and running routines would hardly guess what the Paralympic athlete cherishes most in her free time. Outside the world of elite competition, Jenny playfully describes herself as someone who loves to unwind. While she approaches every endeavor with total dedication—from content creation to daily workouts—rest is a non-negotiable part of her routine.
Sacred Rest and Life Away from the Spotlight
On days off, the perfect plan is simple: lounging in bed all day with her dogs and Kilian, ordering takeout, and enjoying a sweet treat. Jenny describes herself as sensitive, observant, and a big dreamer. Despite the strong persona she has built in sports and on social media, she maintains a shy side that only reveals itself when she feels truly comfortable and free in her surroundings.
Tattoos with a Story and a Bet with Her Father
The ink across Jenny's body marks defining moments in her journey. Her very first tattoo came at age 16, following a challenge from her father. Hoping to put the idea off, he promised to let her get inked if she won every tournament that season. The young athlete went undefeated the entire year, earning the right to tattoo two table tennis paddles.
Since then, her skin has become an emotional timeline. Inscribed on her body are her appearances at the Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, alongside a flower with bowed legs that proudly represents her disability. Between tributes to the band Queen, empowering messages, and repeating numbers guided by her Pisces intuition, Jenny is already planning new tattoos for when she takes on future triathlon challenges.
