Wellhub employees share how they balance work, multi-sport training, and athletic growth.
Gabi Mafra and Thaís share their personal and athletic journeys. Across marathons, triathlons, and climbing, they illustrate how their corporate routines at Wellhub connect directly to their passion for movement.
Defining one's own identity in sports is not always a simple or linear process. On Girls Who Run, a show from the Stemma Sports hub hosted by Che Fanti and Mari Real, Gabi Mafra and Thaís reflected on who they are on and off the track, detailing how they build their relationship with movement and their professional routines at Wellhub.
Gabi Mafra: trusting the process and connecting with people
For Gabi Mafra, running is a long-term journey taken step by step without rushing. A recent marathoner, she emphasizes that finishing the 26.2 miles was the result of years of consistency. Originally from Mariana, Minas Gerais, Gabi has lived in the state of São Paulo for about two decades, splitting her training and daily routine between the capital city and Atibaia, where her family lives.
Off the track at 29 years old, she has spent nearly nine years at Wellhub, having joined the company as an intern. Highly extroverted, Gabi highlights that she recharges her energy through social connections, making it a priority to maintain a dynamic routine both at work and in her workouts.
Thaís: athletic versatility and product innovation
Meanwhile, Thaís describes herself as a true sports enthusiast who favors variety over repetition. Admitting she is not a fan of fixed routines, she seeks out different active experiences: she has gone through phases dedicated to triathlon, tennis, climbing, and running—alternating performance-focused cycles with periods of casual training without rigid schedules.
Having spent five years at Wellhub, Thaís works in product marketing, directly responsible for rolling out new features on the platform's app. Among the internal projects she leads are gamification tools and challenge modules designed to boost user motivation and engagement with daily physical activity.
