Reinaldo Colucci showcased the details of his Cervelo P5 built for Ironman 70.3 São Paulo. The triathlete explained his switch to a size 61 frame for greater comfort and revealed an aggressive drivetrain featuring a 60-tooth chainring.
In preparation for the Nubank Ultravioleta Ironman 70.3 São Paulo, Reinaldo Colucci's bike turned heads with geometry choices and components built for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The athlete built up a Cervelo P5 with custom adjustments to tackle the 90 km bike leg.
Geometry adjustments and more reach
The key change in this year's setup was frame size. Colucci opted for a size 61 Cervelo P5, replacing the size XL Trek he rode last season. The larger frame allowed him to increase reach, enabling a more elongated position on the bike and providing greater comfort throughout the course.
Massive gearing and high-performance components
In the drivetrain, the standout feature is the 60-tooth chainring paired with 170 mm crank arms and an integrated power meter. The rear setup features a rear derailleur fitted with a Nova Ride Aero Cage and a Shimano Dura-Ace 11-30 cassette, delivering crisp shifting to sustain high speeds on flat stretches.
The wheelset combines a Princeton rear disc wheel with a Zipp 858 up front, both fitted with Continental Grand Prix 5000 TT tires. The build is finished with a Fizik Ares saddle and an integrated, custom FTP cockpit tailored to the triathlete's ergonomics.
