How a Passion for Endurance Gave Rise to House of Pace
JP Perpétuo and Rodolfo Morais reveal their thesis connecting curated community, technology, and physical space in the sports market.
In a candid conversation, JP Perpétuo and Rodolfo Morais detail how their friendship built through running and triathlon training led to the creation of House of Pace. They explain their concept of product curation, the power of community, and their integration with Voturuna Park.
The journey that led to the creation of House of Pace (HOP) began long before business plans and mentorship rounds. It was forged during daily workouts and genuine exchanges of athletic experiences between JP Perpétuo and Rodolfo Morais. Longtime friends since college and their early careers in finance, JP was the one who drew Rodolfo into road running and, later, the challenges of triathlon.
With an analytical mindset and a dedication to testing every detail of sports gear and technology, JP began building a reputation as a trusted curator well before curation became a buzzword. Rodolfo recalls that during a transition workout in Pirapora, most athletes present were wearing the exact sunglasses and accessories JP had recommended on his personal profile, illustrating the power of a highly qualified, engaged audience.
The convergence of wellness, technology, and data
When planning to build a venture together, JP and Rodolfo identified two major expanding forces: the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and the booming market around wellness, longevity, and endurance sports. Rather than merely replicating foreign models focused strictly on preventative testing, the founders recognized that the Brazilian market needed structure, data, and authentic connections between brands, experts, and athletes.
Their vision quickly took clear shape: blending digital environments with in-person experiences. For the partners, a community requires frequent physical gatherings to build authentic relationships, yet relies on active daily digital platforms to keep the exchange of knowledge thriving.
The HOP community and the connection with Voturuna Park
House of Pace structured a private, highly curated community. Today, it counts over 560 active members—including company founders, marketing executives, physicians, physical therapists, nutritionists, and passionate amateur endurance athletes—with a waitlist exceeding one thousand applicants. The group generates over 10,000 monthly messages across specialized channels dedicated to cycling, trail running, sports business, and performance.
This collective knowledge acts as a real-time pulse on the pain points and trends in endurance, from super-shoe durability to monitoring devices. This intelligence ties directly into Voturuna Park as a physical gathering hub alongside proprietary technology currently under development, built to accelerate and organize the country's sports ecosystem.
