Return to Ironman 70.3 Florianópolis

With a storied history in Florianópolis, where she first began in triathlon and lived for several years, Djenyfer Arnold celebrated her return to the island in full health—unlike the previous year, when she raced with a fever. Season Review and Travel Fatigue

Reflecting on her race calendar, the athlete explained that she enjoyed a very solid first half of the season through June, driven by strong training blocks for Brasília. Afterward, excessive international travel and a loss of training volume consistency caused performance dips, especially in the swim, alongside mental fatigue following grueling races in Rio de Janeiro and Italy. Arnold emphasized the need to adjust her schedule next year to prioritize health and training quality, revealing that arriving in Jurerê reignited her motivation.

Race Scenarios and Competitive Strategy

Previewing the dynamics of the dedicated pro women's start, Arnold outlined her tactics for each leg. In the swim, her primary goal is to stay as close as possible to leader Vitória Lopes. On the bike, her focus shifts to working near France's Julie to sustain a fast cycling pace. Although she currently considers the run her strongest discipline, the triathlete stressed the importance of balanced execution across all three sports rather than relying solely on the run to secure a top result.
