Education and the foundations of anthroposophy
Ruivo built his academic background across various fields before deepening his studies in human development. He earned degrees in business administration and architecture, pursued psychoanalysis, and completed training in biographical counseling in Dornach, Switzerland, the global center for anthroposophical studies.
"Truth is, Paulo is a pretty simple guy when it comes to seeking knowledge," Ruivo explains when summarizing his priorities and the therapeutic training he completed abroad. "I feel very humble in front of knowledge, but especially before that great purpose in my life, which was becoming a father."
Physical discipline and daily habits
Beyond his professional career, physical and behavioral transformations reshaped Ruivo's daily routine. He lost 35 kg and built an internal framework of discipline before establishing daily workouts, which include road running and nearly three years of continuous CrossFit practice.
"Building this required tremendous discipline for me. It used to feel so distant, and I had no idea I was capable of it," Ruivo notes regarding his lifestyle change. "So it was first an internal, mental creation process before I reached the point of mastering it externally."
Practical spirituality and human imperfection
Ruivo also highlights the importance of letting go of unrealistic expectations placed on those working in self-knowledge. He emphasizes that anthroposophy represents practical spirituality, free from religious dogma, and does not exempt anyone from everyday flaws.
"When I talk about this, people sometimes place me on a pedestal where I can't fail, make mistakes, or lose control," Ruivo states when analyzing the link between personal growth and authenticity. "I'm a human being, and I will fail, make mistakes, and lose control countless times in my life, because nobody is perfect."
