Marcos Vinicius on Motorcycles, Running, and Life Off the Clock

On Marketing - The Podcast, the Newe Seguros executive shares how motorcycling and running bring balance to his routine.

Marcos Vinicius Pereira opens up about his passions and sports routines outside the corporate world. The Newe Seguros director discusses highway motorcycle trips and street running. The podcast episode also covers broader management and business topics.

Marcos Vinicius Pereira, Chief Commercial, Marketing, and Customer Service Officer at Newe Seguros, joined Bruno Gimenes on Marketing - The Podcast to discuss his personal journey and his life outside work. The episode also explores management topics and the insurance industry. Born in Rio de Janeiro and a lifelong Flamengo fan, Pereira grew up in São Paulo and spent 13 years in southern Brazil—working in Porto Alegre, Santa Catarina, and Curitiba—before returning to São Paulo, where he has lived for the past three years.

In the video above, Pereira explains that sports have always been part of his routine, though he stepped away from playing soccer after suffering a knee injury. Today, street running and highway motorcycle trips provide that mental decompression. Reflecting on his riding habits, Pereira emphasizes the value of escaping city traffic: "With a motorcycle, I put on my helmet, close the visor, and it's just me and my thoughts. I hit the open road—not speeding, sometimes with no set destination—just truly enjoying the ride. I don't like city riding, but it's a moment to connect with myself, forget problems and worries, get new ideas, and discover new places and people. The road-tripping motorcycle community is really wonderful."

His passion for two wheels is shared with his 14-year-old son, who regularly joins him on rides. Pereira shares that his wife stopped riding after their son was born as a family precaution, which in turn made him even more mindful on the road. For Pereira, highway travel offers "a loneliness without solitude," crossing paths with others without the rush of daily life.

Alongside motorcycle trips, street running has become another staple in his routine, done casually with headphones. Commenting on the allure of the sport and the investment in gear, Pereira notes how quickly it escalates: "It's the most expensive free sport out there, man. You start thinking it costs nothing, but before you know it, you're buying shoes, glasses, hats, smartwatches, signing up for races, aiming for marathons, and traveling just to run."
