The Power of Choosing Happiness
In human life, one of the most potent and empowering forces is making a decision. When we set a firm intention and truly decide to be happy regardless of what happens, our minds develop quick awareness whenever disturbances arise. It takes only a brief moment to brush off worry or distress. Making this deliberate choice acts as a mental shield, helping us swiftly return to peace.
Staying Calm, Unrushed, and Present
Life often presents challenging circumstances, such as traveling in sub-zero temperatures dropping below -20°C. What helps us navigate such moments with ease is keeping a calm, unworried, and unhurried mind. Learning to see things as they are and embracing each present moment transforms every experience into something wonderful. When the mind is filled with tranquility and joy, we can fully appreciate the good things happening all around us.
A Morning Exercise for the Mind
Dr. Ddnard invites everyone to ask themselves each morning: "What decision will I make for my life today?" Beginning the day with the conscious choice to be happy provides the inner strength to let go of unhelpful thoughts effortlessly. Practice focusing on the positive, savoring the present moment, and setting a firm intention so every day becomes truly remarkable.
