Awaken Your Inner Power: Anything is Possible | Dr. Ddnard
Unlock your hidden strength to conquer all goals and life's challenges.
Dr. Ddnard explores the idea that humans can achieve anything within their own scope. She emphasizes the Circle of Influence and breaking free from the Comfort Zone. She also compares decluttering the mind to sweeping fallen leaves for a strong spirit.
Hello everyone, today Dr. Ddnard shares an inspiring thought: there is nothing a human cannot do if it falls within the scope of our lives and we have genuine determination. Dr. Ddnard emphasizes that when we say 'I can't do it,' it might be because we don't truly want to do it, or we're stuck in our old Comfort Zone. Recognizing these facts is the first step towards change.
The Power of Intention and the Circle of Influence
Dr. Ddnard invites us to consider the things we often say we cannot do. In reality, if something is within the scope of our lives, we can always achieve it if we are truly determined and genuinely want to. She divides this concept into two parts:
- Circle of Obstacles: These are the things that prevent us from getting what we want, which we might perceive as beyond our control.
- Circle of Influence: These are the things we can influence, where we can take action to improve situations or manifest what we desire. Therefore, instead of dwelling on obstacles, we should focus on what lies within our Circle of Influence.
Stepping Beyond the Comfort Zone
Our Comfort Zone, or familiar territory, can easily become a cage that traps us in old habits. Dr. Ddnard draws an analogy with a baby elephant tethered to a thin rope and a small pole from childhood. Even as it grows strong enough to break free, its familiarity prevents it from ever realizing its increased power.
When we say, 'I can't do it,' subconsciously, there are questions we should ask ourselves:
- Have you tried it yet?
- If you've tried, how many times?
- Have you given it your absolute best effort?
- And have you explored other methods?
Asking these questions will help us coach ourselves and discover new ways to overcome limitations.
Consistently Sweeping the Mind
Dr. Ddnard shares an example from her meditation experience: after she was away for just two hours, fallen leaves completely covered the path where she practiced walking meditation. Sweeping the leaves, therefore, is a continuous duty. Similarly, with our minds, if we don't consistently clear them, 'thought debris' or defilements will accumulate.
We shouldn't say, 'It's just going to get dirty again, so why bother sweeping?' Because even if leaves fall daily, or defilements and weaknesses enter our minds every day, it is our duty to sweep them away and strengthen our minds relentlessly, day after day.
Discovering Your Inner Greatness
Dr. Ddnard reminds us that we all possess greatness and the ability to achieve great things. Even if we sometimes choose to act small or do small things, we must always return to our own point of greatness and continue to strive for what is grand. Dr. Ddnard wishes everyone strength and perseverance!
