BocaTV Renovates Former Bank into Open Glass Studio
Conceived by Rodrigo Bocardi, the project required electrical upgrades, a new glass facade, and roof repairs.
The new BocaTV studio is being built inside a former bank branch. The project required redesigned entrances, a glass facade for public interaction, and comprehensive structural upgrades.
Construction work for the BocaTV headquarters and studios is transforming a former bank branch into an open, glass-walled studio. Conceived by journalist Rodrigo Bocardi, the project was designed to foster visual integration and direct contact between pedestrians on the sidewalk and the broadcasting environment inside.
Adapting the building required significant structural modifications from the very beginning. Located on a corner, the area chosen for the main studio originally housed the primary power inlet and the bank's main entrance, along with uneven floor levels and ramps that had to be completely remodeled.
In addition to installing the glass facade to bring the public closer to daily productions, the construction team had to replace the entire air conditioning system and perform a complete overhaul of the building's roof structure.
With infrastructure work, electrical overhauls, and new street entrances completed, the space is reaching its final configuration to host the digital channel's operations.
